GETTING STARTED

The basics.

What is Parlaymint?

Parlaymint is a group-first sports betting system where multiple participants contribute to one shared parlay. Each participant contributes exactly one pick.

Everyone reviews the completed parlay before it becomes LIVE, follows the same wager, and settles based on the result of each participant’s contribution.

Is Parlaymint free to play?

Yes. The current Parlaymint experience is free to play using Parlaymint Coins.

No deposit is required. Parlaymint Coins cannot be purchased and have no cash value.

Is real-money wagering available?

Not currently. Real-money wagering will launch only through a licensed sportsbook structure and only where all required regulatory approvals have been obtained.

How do I play with friends?

Create or join a private Parlay Pals group and invite the people you want to play with. Private groups are invitation-only and are not publicly discoverable.

Can I join a parlay outside a private group?

Yes. Public Parlays allow users to join available parlays without making Parlay Pals groups public.

GAMEPLAY & SETTLEMENT

What happens to your pick.

Why can each participant submit only one pick?

One pick per participant is a core Parlaymint rule. It gives every participant a defined contribution to the shared parlay and prevents one person from controlling multiple legs.

What does “Only Losers Pay” mean?

Every participant pays the full buy-in upfront. If the parlay does not fully win, participants whose picks win receive their full buy-in back.

Participants with losing picks share the cost of the parlay.

What happens if every pick wins?

Parlaymint pays the group at market-comparable sportsbook odds. The payout is allocated based on the relative risk of each winning pick, so higher-risk winning picks receive a larger share of the group payout.

What happens if my pick wins but someone else loses?

If your pick wins and the parlay does not fully win, your full buy-in is returned.

Someone else’s losing pick does not turn your winning contribution into a losing result.

What happens if my pick loses?

If your pick loses and the parlay does not fully win, you share the cost of the parlay with the other participants whose picks also lost.

What happens if a pick pushes?

A pushed pick is removed from the liability calculation. The remaining eligible picks determine settlement.

Why are buy-ins held upfront?

Holding the full buy-in upfront allows every settlement outcome to be handled without collecting additional funds after the parlay becomes LIVE.

LOCK PREVIEW

Review before LIVE.

What is Lock Preview?

Lock Preview is the review period that begins after the required participants and picks are in place and before the parlay becomes LIVE.

Everyone reviews the same completed parlay during the same countdown.

Is Lock Preview a lifecycle state?

No. The parlay lifecycle is OPEN → LIVE → SETTLED. Lock Preview happens before the transition from OPEN to LIVE.

Can I leave during Lock Preview?

Yes. If a participant leaves before LIVE, the completed parlay changes and returns to OPEN so the group can resolve the change.

Once the parlay is complete again, everyone reviews the updated version before it becomes LIVE.

Can I change my pick during Lock Preview?

Lock Preview is for reviewing the completed parlay, not editing it.

If the parlay changes before LIVE, it returns to OPEN and a new review occurs after the updated parlay is complete.

What happens if a pick becomes unavailable?

If a submitted pick becomes unavailable before LIVE, the parlay returns to OPEN so the affected selection can be resolved.

The updated parlay must then be reviewed again before it can become LIVE.
